About NTSE Exam
The National Talent Search Examination will be conducted for students studying at the Class X level. The examination consists of tests, namely Mental Ability Test (MAT) and Scholastic Aptitude Test(SAT). The items in the MAT and SAT are multiple choice questions. Each question has four alternatives. The candidate has to select one correct answer from the given alternatives and mark its number in the answer-sheet as per instructions given on the answer sheet. Each correct answer carries one mark. Thus, the total score of a candidate in a test is equal to the number of questions answered correctly by him/her.
50 questions will be given from Mental Ability Test.
NTSE Scholarships
On the basis of National Talent Search Examination, 1000 scholarships will be awarded. The amount of the scholarship as follows- Scholarship of Rs1200/month for Class 9 to Class 12
- Scholarship of Rs2000/month for Under Graduation and Post Graduation
Stage 1: examination at the State/UT level will comprise of two parts, namely (a) Mental Ability Test (MAT) and (b) Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT), which also includes Language Comprehensive Test.
Stage 2: examination at the National level will comprise of (a) Mental Ability Test (MAT), (b) Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT), which also includes Language Comprehensive Test. Students who qualify in the stage 1 examination are eligible for stage 2 examination.
